I found this floating around my FB newsfeed, perhaps you have seen it? This is a short but impactful insight to what “letting go” really is! It speaks volumes when you break it down! Letting go is all about giving up the old ways we are so accustomed to when they are no longer useful or serving a purpose. This includes letting go of our old habits, destructive patterns, false beliefs and even unhealthy relationships to name a few! Letting go is about severing the ties with things that are holding you back from living the life you really want. When we begin to let go of the things blocking us from what we really want, we start to experience freedom… a new found freedom that allows you to TAKE CARE OF YOURSELF, to get charged up, excited and motivated to go out and get what it is you want in life.

Here is a great way to think about “Letting Go” and what it means…and doesn’t mean:

To let go, doesn’t mean to stop caring. It means I can’t do it for someone else.

To let go is not to cut myself off, it’s the realization that I can’t control another.

To let go is not to enable but to allow learning from natural consequences.

To let go is to admit powerlessness, which means the outcome is not in my hands.

To let go is not to try and change another, it’s to make the most of myself.

To let go is not to care for, but to care about.

To let go is not to fix, but to allow another to be a human being.

To let go is not to judge, but to allow another to be a human being.

To let go is not to be in the middle arranging all the outcomes, but to allow others to effect their destinies.

To let go is not to be protective, it’s to permit another to face reality.

To let go is not to deny, but to accept.

To let go is not to nag, scold, or argue, but instead to search out my own shortcomings and correct them.

To let go is not to adjust everything to my desires, but to take each day as it comes and cherish myself in it.

To let go is not to criticize or regulate anyone, but to try and become that I dream I can be.

To let go is not to regret the past, but to grow and live for the future.

To let go is to fear less and to love more.
